Look for simple solutions in business
This is one of those learn from my mistakes kinda posts.
A while ago I was working on a Challenge which included a lot of cool videos. However… My computer was totally full. I had nowhere to put the videos. I just didn’t know want to do! I’d been totally stressed out about it because I could not fit a single thing more on my computer.
I went through my computer, rabidly deleting files just to make room. I’d pounce on any random file just to get rid of it! It was ridiculous.
It’s totally me. It’s not Mr. S.
He has, I think, 5 Word files and an Excel file in the whole computer. It’s all me. I know that. I don’t even keep my old videos. I actually delete them as I go just because I don’t have enough room on my computer.
There’s an easy solution
As with a lot of problems, the solution was surprisingly easy. That’s the thing to keep in mind – it can feel like a huge mountain to climb, but there’s almost always an easy solution. In this case, I was already using it.
My solution was to actually buy a subscription to Dropbox. It’s $120 for a year. Totally solved my problem.
I have oodles and oodles of space now! Even though I have Google Drive – and you know that I love it – there’s some things I prefer Dropbox for. Video is one of them. I just find Dropbox easier to use.
What’s funny was…
I already had the free version. It’s not like I didn’t KNOW that it was out there. I just didn’t use it in the way I needed to.
It’s such an easy, and relatively inexpensive, solution to get the kind of stress I was feeling off my plate.
TOTES. worth it.
So, think about the things that are really bothering you in your business and start looking at it from an outsider’s perspective. The solution might be right there in front of you. You might, like me, even be using a version of what could ultimately solve your problem – you just need to take the step to level up.
You’ll feel so much better and your business will thank you for it.
